Dylan Skye

My step-sister Suzie and her husband Jason have the cutest little girl! I wanted to post a picture of her on the blog so those of you who haven't seen her can enjoy her precious face!
My sweet little neice Dylan (a mini Suzie) turned 3 in November; this pictures is a bit old (May 2008).

Swimming at Chico Hotsprings

Oliver is a water boy! He loves to sit in the warm water at the hotsprings and splash around. I am very happy he loves the water because we enjoy going to the hotsprings and will be enjoying the lake all summer long as usual!

Winter wonderland

Last weekend we had a great time playing in the snow up Mill Creek (south of Livingston). We put Oliver in the pack back, Seth wore it of course, and went out cross country skiing. The trail was beautiful and Oliver had a blast. I failed to take a picture skiing. We got back to the truck and weren't ready to be done playing in the snow, so we took the snowmobile out for a cruise. Seth is working on his sled in the garage, so we only brought my red zipper (just a 440). Oliver also loved cruising on the snowmobile and didn't want to stop! Here's a few photos from the day.

First hair cut

This was a difficult task and it shows. I wasn't able to get his hair cut straight since he would not hold still for a second. It is much better and less shaggy!

Ice skating Christmas Day

Ice skating on the Pond Christmas Day

On Christmas Day we went down to the pond in the Park to ice skate and pull Oliver around. We didn't have a sled and nothing was open to buy one, so the knee board worked perfect!!! We always make due and it was a blast!! Oliver loved it so much and when Seth would stop for a second, Oliver wanted to keep going! The pond has a warming hut with a fire burning but it was the warmest day we've had in awhile with temps in the low 30's. I think we started our new family Christmas day tradition.

Merry Christmas

Sitting on a gift....

Oliver was so excited about the Christmas tree, ornaments, lights and presents. He had taken all the bows and decorations off the gifts, many ornaments off the tree, and loved to touch the lights (if Mom and Dad were not looking)! It was such a fun Christmas; Oliver had a big fun day filled with lots of joy and excitement.

We love our small town Livingston!

Yesterday we got an exciting visit!! Oliver was down for his afternoon nap, when all of a sudden, 3 fire trucks pulled up in front of our house and the neighbors, sirens and lights on!!! I looked around the house and knew it wasn't burning, then opened the drive way door to look at the garage & carriage house~nope, they weren't burning either~ YIKES. I didn't know what was burning. well, nothing. By the way, Seth wasn't home, he was kite skiing. Santa hopped out of one fire truck and came to the door!! SO COOL. He came to say Merry Christmas to Oliver and give him a gift. Too bad Oliver was sleeping and NO, you don't wake a 1 year old from nap!
Very exciting..they stopped at many many houses so Santa could deliver Christmas cheer to childern. Thank you to the firefighters....it was a special day.

tomato soup

We had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches today for lunch. Oliver LOVES tomato soup and made a huge mess. oh well, it all cleans up and it was yummy!

Trip to Beartooth Highway to kite ski

Seth took a trip recently to Cooke City (Beartooth Highway) to kite ski with Ella & Madison AND yes, that is my snowmobile as he is working on his and it's taken apart in pieces in the garage.

yup...still working on the bathroom

Oliver helping out...and he's got the carharts to prove it! I am happy to say, our bathroom is 99.9% finished finally...I'll post pictures of the final product soon. For those who don't know what went on, we have one bathroom in our house, which didn't have a bathtub, just a huge glass shower. Also, in our small bathroom was a extra large vanity and minimal storage space. Seth worked hard at totally gutting it down and it shows!! Some tasks were...slightly moving 2 walls, putting in a bathtub, tiling the shower, floor, and walls, putting in chairrail, painting, building a custom cabinet, moving electrical outlets, putting in a new toilet and pedestal sink and more.......

Hot tubbin` with Dad

Oliver loves warm water, whether its Chico or our hot tub, he always enjoys the water!
